Very few inner city neighborhoods have organizations that are trying to deter youth away from facing imprisonment. We have youth today that have no guidance, no self esteem, and don’t know how to make positive decisions for themselves. Time Dollar Youth Court, Inc of DC offers first time non violent youth offenders a pre petition diversion program, the goal being to divert them away from the Justice System. Due to the economic times of the country, Time Dollar faces less and less funding while fighting to remain opened.
