They will not raise your metablism per say. However, by adding them to your diet you will consume less of the negative or “bad” foods that just sit. Your body will digest these foods and use the nutrients that they provide. But I think by incorporating them into your diet and adding exercise to your daily routine will increase your metabolism. However, keep in mind the fact that genetics play a big role in our metabolism as well. If your body does not have a high metablism genetically, then changing your diet and including exercise will bring your metablism to its complete potential but may not speed it up to a point that you may want.
