Accepting Obesity

Today, America has the highest obesity rates ever seen. It is displayed in both children and adults. Many of us are happy with our weight and appearance. However, we do not always realize the ways in which we are hurting our bodies inside. Being heavy can cause a string of health problems ranging from high blood pressure to type 2 diabetes. You could wind up having high cholesterol or clogged arteries. All of which are serious health risks though we may look at them as mediocre. As a society, it’s time to evaluate our lifestyles and see where we stand. This is not to say everyone shouldbe model size skinny because we are not all the same. However, we should be responsible and conscious of the things that we are putting into our bodies. The risks that we are taking to live the American dream. Take the initiative to get routine check ups annually. Schedule a sooner appointment if something does not seem right. Get to know and understand your body so that you are aware of any changes within yourself  sooner. Put your health and safety as your number one priority in life because no one else is going to take care of you or look out for your personal well being. Take a stand and become educated in the various elements of nutrition. Being healthy does not mean that you have to live on a constant diet, it just means that you make positive choices.
